In line with Government guidance, St Gabriel’s Primary School is currently closed to all pupils except those identified as vulnerable or children of key workers. Please click here to refer to the list of professions classed as key workers. If you are a key worker and would like your child to attend St Gabriel’s, please phone school. It is only necessary for one parent to be a key worker for your child to qualify. (If your child or a member of your household is displaying Covid 19 symptoms, please get a Coronavirus test and do not send your child into school.)
If your child is now learning from home, please use Google Classroom each day, where your child can join an on line video register and can access teaching videos and activities for all subjects. For more information, including how to access Google Classroom, please refer to our Home Learning page in the drop down above. Please refer to e-safety for parents.
Please click here to see our Safeguarding Policy Statement. This has additional safeguarding measures that we will take to ensure the safety of all of our pupils whilst they are not in school.
Please remember to stay safe on line.
If you have any concerns or worries, please do leave a message on the school answering service(option 1) or email email@example.com
About the Coronavirus for children:
A free information book has been created explaining the coronavirus to children, illustrated by Gruffalo illustrator Axel Scheffler
Strategic Lead for Remote Learning: Rebecca Anson (Headteacher)
If you have any concerns, or issues with your child’s remote learning, in the first instance please raise this with your child’s class teacher by phoning the office. Your child’s teacher will aim to call you back by the end of the school day. If you still feel your query has not been answered, please contact our Headteacher, Rebecca Anson.
In addition to daily live video registers (where children can ask any questions and see their friends) and in addition to teachers monitoring of ‘chat boxes’ next to children’s work, keeping in touch calls will be made to all families at least every two weeks. The aim of our K.I.T calls is to support pupils wellbeing and identify any other support our children may need.
Does my child have Covid symptoms?
Unsure whether to keep your child at home?
How to tell the difference between a common cold and Covid-19
Most people who feel ill with coronavirus will have at least one of the key symptoms:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
- a loss or change to their sense of smell or taste
The BBC have produced a video explaining the differences between Covid symptoms and the normal winter cold.

WELCOME FROM OUR HEADTEACHER
It is a pleasure to be Head of such an exceptional School. Christian and British Values are integral to our school and diversity is celebrated. Rooted in our Christian ethos, we provide a nurturing environment, ensuring our children grow academically, emotionally, morally and spiritually. At St Gabriel’s we aim to ensure that all children are provided with the foundations for their future enabling them to have choices, be their best and achieve whatever they set out to do.
St Gabriel’s pupils achieve well above the national average. Our high academic and behavioural expectations have enabled our children to make excellent progress; by the time they reach KS2, our pupils attain well above national expectations.
Housed in a beautiful Victorian building that over the last 10 years we have completely refurbished. We have an expansive Great Hall, a separate dining room, I.C.T. suite, library, meeting room, music room, a range of group rooms to provide spaces for children to work intensively with adults, working and preparation areas for staff and modern administrative office accommodation.
Unlike many other central London primary schools we are blessed with a fantastic indoor and outdoor space for our children to enjoy. Our school has a Key Stage 1 playground and a Key Stage 2 playground, a fountain, a quiet area, story-telling area and an adventure trail and a beautiful garden; our Reception children benefit from their own outdoor area.
