Dear Children,
Welcome to another week. You should have all received a Whats App message by now. If you haven’t yet, make sure that you contact the school to let me know. I hope that you all enjoyed recording yourselves singing and dancing. It looked as though you all really enjoyed it. If you haven’t sent me the recordings yet, can you please do so as soon as possible.
This Friday will be Prize Day and although it won’t be the same as previous years, I am still looking forward to seeing you all. It will be a good way to farewell you all considering the circumstances that we find ourselves in.
The Oak academy work has finished this week. As we did not start from the beginning, there will still be work to complete. Can you please start again from week one and work through the Maths and Literacy
Remember to keep a routine this week to help you complete some learning. Remember to be creative and to try new things.
I hope that you are all keeping safe and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
If there is anything that I can do to help, make sure that you call the office and they will give me a message.

Dear Children,
Welcome to another week. By now your parents would have all received an email from the school asking them for permission for you to take part in some transition sessions at school as well as providing a clip to create a class video. If you have provided permission, you would have also received a Whats App message from me. Please do make sure that your parents record you singing your lyrics and you message the footage back to me so that we can put it all together. Be as creative and enthusiastic as you like in your clip, just remember that I need a clip with just singing and no music (wearing headphones might help you keep rhythm).
In Literacy this week we will be writing a biography- this is a genre that we have a lot of experience with so the quality of these should be very high. In Maths we will be revising ratio and proportion so make sure that you are doing your best to remember all that we have learned previously in class.

This week at school, we will be continuing with the Oak academy lessons and we will also be taking part in a number of other activities. Your parents should have all received an email asking permission to take part in transition sessions and for permission to include footage of you singing and dancing for a class video to act as a momento of your time this year. If they have not been sent already, please make sure that permission emails are sent to the office as soon as possible. We are running out of time quickly and we cannot get started until we have all permissions.
Literacy this week we will be looking at Poetry and the language features associated with this genre. In Maths we will be continuing to look at Data and Statistics with more of a focus on graphs this week.

There are a few more children back in school this week which is great to see. This week at school we will be continuing with the Oak academy lessons and we will also be taking part in a number of other activities. I hope that you are keeping busy at home and are working along with us.
Literacy this week we will be looking at Explanations and the language features associated with this genre. We will continue to develop our reading skills with daily Guided Reading lessons. We will also be selecting a new class novel to read but I haven’t decided which one yet.
In Maths we will be looking at percentages so this will be like a week of revision for all of us. Remember to concentrate and think of the learning that we did in the classroom. Your prior knowledge will help you.
Remember to keep a routine this week to help you complete some learning. Remember to be creative and to try new things.
I hope that you are all keeping safe and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
If there is anything that I can do to help, make sure that you call the office and they will give me a message.

Dear Children,
I hope that you have all been keeping busy and taking part in the Oak Academy lessons. The Maths should have been good revision for you. I hope that you all did well to remember the various units of measurement and how to convert them.
The Literacy lessons should have been exciting with the character descriptions and the strong focus on reading skills. Please make sure that you continue to read at home every day. In class we have been reading a book by Louis Sachar called ‘There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom’. You can find a cheap version on kindle if you wish to give it a read. This week we will be starting to read a new text.
Remember to keep a routine this week to help you complete some learning. Remember to be creative and to try new things.
I hope that you are all keeping safe and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
If there is anything that I can do to help, make sure that you call the office and they will give me a message.

Dear Class 6,
I hope you all enjoyed the sessions from Oak academy last week. Make sure that you log in again this week to keep up with what we have been doing at school in class.
The kids who have been at school this week have completed the same lessons from Oak Academy. We have also been doing a few extra things. We planted some flowers in the garden after we did a lot of weeding and on Friday we re-wrote the lyrics to the ‘Friends’ theme song. Maybe, if we all come back, we could film us singing it.
Remember to keep active and to try developing a new skill.
I hope you are all doing well at the moment and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Dear Class 6,

I hope you are all well and are getting some opportunity to enjoy the great weather. I am back at school this week and will be teaching a small group of children- we are being very careful to make sure that we are all looking out for each other and keeping safe.

This term there will not be work put up on the website each week, instead you will need to follow the link below to access the online lesson resources from Oak Academy. These lessons are in progression and they are the same lessons that we will be following at school.

I hope you are all taking this opportunity to learn new and exciting things. I am very much looking forward to seeing you all again before the end of the year and hopefully I am able to arrange some way that we can have a final send off before you all head to Secondary School.

The link below will take you to this week’s lessons. There is some letter writing for Literacy which you are familiar with already and the Maths lessons look at fractions, which we were all becoming very competent with so it will be good to revise. Please start from Week 6.
