Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) – Reception Class

As part of our practice we provide a balanced curriculum, based on the EYFS, across the seven areas of learning, using play as the vehicle for learning.  We work in partnership with parents and provide early intervention for those children who require additional support.

We plan challenging yet fun learning experiences, based on the individual child, informed by observation and assessment.  We provide opportunities for children to engage in adult directed, adult-initiated and child-initiated activities in indoor and outdoor learning environments.

How can children be supported out of school?

We encourage all parents to read with their child daily. Age appropriate homework will be sent home to further support your child.
