PE and Sport at St Gabriel’s
At St Gabriel’s sport plays a significant and important role in the development, well-being and achievement of all.
Our Vision is that all pupils leave St Gabriel’s physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.
The PE and Sport Premium
The PE and Sport Premium is the additional funding each primary school is given to spend on achieving a self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport they offer.
For the year 2017 to 2018, schools with 17 or more pupils will receive a grant of £16,000 plus an additional £10 per pupil and schools have been given the autonomy to decide how best to spend the funding.
At St Gabriel’s, we spend the funding to provide, equip and sustain, high quality PE lessons, as well as a wide and exciting range of extra-curricular opportunities.
